Junior Sarah Chenette made school history in Friday’s playoff game against Monument Mountain, scoring her 1,000th point for Cohasset High School. She entered the game with 978 career points, and she achieved the milestone before halftime. Cohasset went on to defeat their opponent 51-26 and advance to the next round of the Division 4 Round of 32 tournament.

Despite only playing in 57 varsity games, Chenette became just the second player to reach 1000 points at CHS due to her work ethic. According to Cohasset coach Mike Sacchitella,  “Nobody works harder. I have known Sarah since she was 8 years old and she approaches every practice, every game like it’s a tryout. She works hard, she never stops working. She’s been in this gym after every single practice working on her shooting, working on her ball-handling. That’s why. Hard work.”

Congratulations Sarah! The entire Cohasset community is so proud of you!
